美国国务院发言人周六（2月1日）发表声明“国际民航组织删除支持台湾的推特帐号令人
愤慨”
声明指出“美国对国际民航组织压制言论自由，删除支持台湾的推特帐号ㄧ举深表关切。
”
“考虑到全球正在努力应对新型冠状病毒危机，ICAO此刻封锁支持台湾参与国际组织的推
特用户是令人愤慨的、不可接受的，以及配不上联合国组织称号的行为。”
“台湾在跨国健康问题上具有相关且可信赖的声音，美国长期以来一直支持台湾积极参与
国际活动，包括可以受益于台湾专业知识的国际民航组织等。”
“我们呼吁国际民航组织立即且永久地取消在其推特群组中封锁挺台言论帐号的做法，并
且公开表明，了解言论自由必须永远摆在其成员国的政治不安全感之上。”

The U.S. State Department Spokesperson released a press statement yesterday:
“ICAO’s Outrageous Practice of Blocking Twitter Users Who Reference Taiwan.
”
The Statement conveyed concerns about actions taken by the International Civi
l Aviation Organization to suppress freedom of expression and curtail importan
t discussion of Taiwan’s legitimate role in international issues.
