Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said:
“Simon Cheng was a valued member of our team. We were shocked and appalled by
the mistreatment he suffered while in Chinese detention, which amounts to tor
ture.
英国外相Dominic Raab表示：
郑文杰先前是我们团队一位重要成员，对他先前在中国被拘禁期间所遭受到跟如同折磨般
的虐待，我们感到震惊且骇人听闻。
I summoned the Chinese Ambassador to express our outrage at the brutal and dis
graceful treatment of Simon in violation of China’s international obligations
. I have made clear we expect the Chinese authorities to investigate and hold
those responsible to account.
我召见了中国大使并表达我们对郑文杰所遭受到残忍、屈辱对待之愤怒，而中国也违背了
在国际上的责任。我清楚的表达我们期待中国当局进行调查，并将相关人员抓起来给交代
。
The FCO is working to support Simon and his fiance, including to come to the
UK.”
英国目前正在为郑文杰及其未婚妻提供包括前来英国在内之协助。
