The International Boxing Association is holding a press conference in Paris to a
ddress the issues surrounding Algerian boxer Imane Khelif and Taiwanese boxer Li
n Yu-Ting.
Dr. Ioannis Filippatos, the former Chair of IBA Medical Committee and an OB/GYN
with three decades of experience, has spoken.
He has confirmed that neither Lin nor Khelif are biological females, and has sla
mmed the IOC for using passports as a system for determining gender.
"Medicine is knowledge, it is not opinion ... One passport can give to us the op
portunity to be men, and, tomorrow when I go back to Athens, I can go to my gove
rnment and change my name from Ioannis to Ionnia. That means I am a woman tomorr
ow? Please. The nature and the biological world do not change."

BREAKING: BOTH 'FEMALE BOXING' OLYMPIANS TESTED POSITIVE FOR XY CHROMOSOMES
The International Boxing Association (IBA) has confirmed that Algerian boxer Ima
ne Khelif and Taiwanese boxer Lin Yu-Ting tested positive for XY chromosomes.
The athletes were offered a chance to appeal the findings, with Imane initially
appealing before withdrawing, while Lin chose not to appeal.
Despite controversy, both athletes are competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics and
have secured medals by reaching the semi-finals in their respective weight class
es: Imane in the 66kg category and Lin in the 57kg category.
