既然原po诚心诚意的发文了……
刚好最近在看Samuel Johnson的A Grammar of of the English Tongue，
里面讲Q的有一小段：
"Q, as in other language, is always followed by u, and has a sound which
our Saxon ancestors well expressed by cw, as quadrant, queen, equestrian,
quilt, inquiry, quire, quotidian. Qu is never followed by u.
Qu is sometimes sounded, in words derived from the French, like k, as
conquer, liquor, risque, chequer."
简单翻译，q后面一定跟着u，发音就像/kw/，qu后面接元音，
不只原po你提的i或a，o或e也可以（quote、queen），但是绝对不再跟着u。
qu也可以发成/k/，如果那个字是从法文来的话，例如conquer。
