There is an analogy you must consider this week that can help you tremendously
as you work on something of value to you. Imagine two masons, each of them bu
ilding a brick fence. One of them is rushing through to get on to the next job
with the goal of making more money. The other is taking his time, savoring th
e time spent on craftsmanship and artistry, and making sure that nothing is mi
ssed. The first brick fence may serve its purpose, but it won't be as beautifu
l and won't have longevity. The second will represent the best of everything.
Although you wish to get ahead, doing so at the cost of your inner perfectioni
st won't suffice.
