先跟大家说一个观念，考SC的时候最重要的是
“如何迅速看出它在考什么：文法 / 句意 / 写法好坏？”
以及“考点要按层级判断：文法>句意>写法好坏”
如果根本没有在考句意就贸然去看句意，
那么实战的时候会额外耗去不少时间，导致pace大受压迫。
像这一题，ABC/DE的第一个差别在于
“tribes who interacted...”
“tribes, interacting...”
看到这个差别时，就要立刻想到以下两个点：
1. “没有文法错误”
一个是名词后的关代限定修饰
一个是句尾分词延伸结构（,Ving）
两者在文法上都是正确的
2. “在判断写法好坏之前，先判断句意”
既然这是一个修饰成分写法不同的考点，
修饰成分考点的句意要怎么判断呢？
原则就是：去把修饰对象跟修饰成分对在一起，看意思合不合理
（而不是去看整个句子）
“tribes who interacted...”
部落可不可以跟其他部落互动呢？逻辑基本判断是可以的。
所以ok。
“tribes, interacting...”
当句尾分词延伸结构，
逻辑主语抓紧接着的整件事或者该件事动作的主词。
抓的是which（其实就是抓which的先行词，前面的confederacy）
或者 “which was a cluster of loosely knit,
informally related neighboring tribes”（整件事）
confederacy只有一个单数，能不能跟生出其他的“彼此”（each other）互动呢？
不行。
整件事 也只有一件
“which was a cluster of loosely knit, informally related neighboring
tribes” 有办法跟“彼此”互动吗？
不行。
所以回归到最基本的判断：
修饰到复数的tribes才会有each other，单数不可能有each other。
回到原PO的问题，也就是句意完整翻译：

Kwakiutl（应该是某种文化）允许一种比部落更大的社会单位：邦联；
