Warriors reserve guard Ian Clark had his jersey retired at Germantown High
School in the Memphis area on Friday night. A bunch of his Warriors teammates
were in attendance to see it.

Clark is the first NBA player from the school and the first player to have
his jersey retired by it. He played there from 2005-09.

“Ian has had a great impact not only on the school, but on the entire area
because of the kind of person he is,” Jason James, the boys’ basketball
coach at Germantown High, said in a press release. “Ian is a great
basketball player, but he’s an even better person. For us to have this
relationship is special to me. It’s an honor to be part of the ceremony to
have his number retired.”

The Warriors will play the Grizzlies in Memphis on Saturday night. So the
ceremony was scheduled for Friday night, Golden State’s off-day in the city.
It allowed not only Clark to be there, but for him to drag along some of his
rather famous friends. Draymond Green, Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry were
among those who were there.
