4. During the meeting:
Naomi in Chinese (morning) & Ellen in English (afternoon)
It is our great pleasure and privilege to have our good Bliss friend, Naomi,
to guide us the Orsay Museum exhibition to celebrate its 30th anniversary
with its world fans in Asia!! It's going to be a whole day meeting on 5/20 ,
which in the morning we will enjoy those master pieces in the National Palace
museum under Naomi guidance ( in Chinese ) , and in the afternoon , we will
have our regular meeting at 故宫至善园 to discuss what we see and feel about
this exhibition ( In English) . The detailed Meeting Agenda will be delivered
before 2017/5/17, to whom sign up for this meeting then.
Bliss is not only an English learning group,
but also using English to explore the world.

Museed Orsay 30 Taiwan
The exhibition was curated to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Orsay
Museum. The exhibition contains selectively chosen iconic masterpieces from
the Orsay Museum collection, presenting the most fruitful half century of
Western art, and introduces major artistic movements of art history. Come and
join us and immerse ourselves in the 19th century of France

My Dear Blissers,
It is always enjoyable to have our exclusive Museum Tour under the bilingual
guidance of Naomi and Ellen with the attached Questions, which not only
enable the participants to be more focused on the masterpieces but also
provide the learning directions for the art amateurs not showing up there.

The following meeting notice is for those who already signed up to my meeting
and please print out or bring those questions with your handheld device in
the morning session , so that you can observe those art pieces with my
questions below and we can discuss together in the afternoon session .

2017/5/20 Ellen’s meeting Question to Discuss
There’s 5 main areas of this exhibition, please go to the following link for

1.Please observe artists from “Romanticism and Classicism” , “
Academism and Realism” and “Impressionism and Naturalism” how they express
“Light” on their art work and what’s the difference of the way they
expressed and what’s your feelings toward those differences ?
2.Please observe the 2 art pieces from Breton (Calling in the Gleaners)
and Jean-François Millet ( the Gleaners) , though the theme they chose were
very similar , however, can you observe from the composition of painting ,
light expression , the way they portray the gleaners …etc. Do you have any
different feelings toward these 2 paintings?
3.Please observe the changes of brushstroke from those 5 areas of
exhibition. How many different brushstrokes you’ve found and what inspired
or touched you most? You may also notice there’s different ways that artiest
finishing their stroke, which way of finishing express the inner feeling of
the artist most, and why ?
4.There’re quite a few nude female paintings in this exhibition, please
share with us why the western artists specially love to paint the nude women?
Also, would you pick 2 of the nude female painting from this exhibition that
bring you the most contrastive feelings? Try to find these 2 from the
expression of the nude women, composition, gesture, light, and brushstroke
and so on…and share with us your viewpoint and findings.
5.Do you think the landscape painting may express the feelings or
emotions of the artiest when they paint? If yes , which one in the exhibition
makes you feel that ? and how you feel that ? Share with us !!
6.Why do you feel interested in this exhibition ? What’s your
