近日读到一篇读书方式的教学文章，
内容摘录如下：
In addition to our notes, you can highlight or underline words, phrases,
or passages that you feel are important to increasing your learning ability.
...You can also try highlighting or underlining passages that you feel are
central or important to the story as a whole.
(除了我们列出的重点之外，你可以将自己觉得重要的单字、词组或段落标示出来或画底
线来提升自己的学习能力。……你也可以试着将你认为的整个故事的核心或重要片段标示

are” important “to increasing” your learning ability.
…You can also try highlighting or underlining passages that you “feel are”

虽然这段句子都看得懂，
但疑惑的是为何这里”feel”后能直接接续”are”这个be动词呢？
这样不会违反不能两个动词放在一起的文法观念吗？
另外为什么形容词“important”后却是接“to increasing”，
而不是“to increase”这样的”adj. to V”的形式？
如果这两句改写成下面：
…you can highlight or underline words, phrases, or passages that you “feel
” important “to increase” your learning ability.
…You can also try highlighting or underlining passages that you “feel”
central or important to the story as a whole.
这样改写可以吗？可以的话又跟原句有何差异？
