Experiencing my firsr-ever three consecutive typhoon days off, as I wrote in
my diary yesterday, Typhoon Gaemi is the strongest typhoon I've ever
encountered. The relentless, terrifying winds and rain over these past two
days felt almost apocalyptic, reminding us of the need to respect nature and
never to become complacent. Last night, the wind and rain began to subside,
and this morning, there's hardly any sign of it—this is the typhoon day off
I'm familiar with, ha! A salute to all the unsung heroes in various
industries who have braved these conditions to keep our society functioning
smoothly over the past two days.
