My mother will have surgery tomorrow. The surgery is to apply for health
insurance subsidies for new drugs. This is not a large operation,
so she only needs to stay in the hospital for one day.
In fact, her condition has deteriorated in the past few months,
the doctor said that the current drug has developed resistance,
so we should try new drugs to see if they work.
This operation is mainly for genetic testing, this is to apply for health
insurance subsidies. Otherwise, this medicine will cost hundreds of thousands
of a month, this is not something our average family can afford.
I can't help feeling the perfection of Taiwan's health insurance system.
In many countries or areas, some people choose not to see a doctor because
they cannot afford high medical expenses.
Living in Taiwan is really a great thing.
