Chelsea Defender Jack Wakely Signs For Basingstoke Town

We are delighted to announce the loan signing of defender Jack Wakely from
Chelsea Football Club.
Jack Wakely is a tall, strong, two-footed centre-back who joined the
Chelsea Academy as an Under-9 and has featured in both their U23 and U18
sides including captaining the latter.
He comes with high praise from Chelsea who note his fantastic attitude and
maturity along with his ability to play anywhere across a back three or
either side of the centre-back pairing.
In October 2017, he signed a first professional contract at the club until
the summer of 2020.
We'd like to thank Chelsea Football Club for their help in making the loan
move happen and we look forward to working with Jack over the coming
months.
