切尔西旧将穆图曾在2004年因吸食可卡因而被国际足联禁赛七个月，随后俱乐部
与他解除了合约。经过了几轮官司之后，最终国际体育仲裁法庭 (Court of
Arbitration for Sport) 裁定穆图需要对切尔西支付高达1520万英镑的违约金作为
赔偿。
对此，穆图感到不服，他认为，国际体育仲裁法庭中有一位律师与切尔西老板阿
布拉莫维奇之间的关系很好，因此裁定结果并非公正。于是，穆图案件提交给欧洲人
权法庭 (European Court of Human Rights)，试图推翻国际足联先前做出的决定。
如今，欧洲人权法庭驳回穆图的上诉，法院认为穆图这些指控并没有实质性的证据。
Mutu signed for the Blues from Parma for ￡15.8m in August 2003, but he
