With Liverpool heading to Stamford Bridge on Saturday, Barkley thinks it
is inevitable there will be fear among the visiting defenders that Hazard
can dominate again.

Barkley feels he has the stage to re-establish himself in the England
squad.
“I have got a platform. I am at a massive club in Chelsea and we are
going to challenge for all the titles this season. I believe that,” he
said.
“I want to let my feet do the talking for my club and if that happens, I
believe I will be back on the international scene sooner rather than
later. I haven't spoken to (Southgate). I'm sure he is focused on the
squad he is picking. I have had injuries and it's all about me going out
to show what I can do for Chelsea.
“Last year, I had a difficult time. I have worked hard through my time
at the club, from when I signed. I knew things would come good and they
have started to go well. But I believe they will continue to get better
with hard work in training. It will really start to pay off.
“I just need to keep improving but I think I am doing that already with
the direction the manager is taking us. The ambition is to add goals and
assists to what I am doing.”
After the World Cup, the consensus in England is the national team lacks a
creative, dynamic attacking central midfielder. Barkley wants to fill that
void.
“It's down to me to show I can be that player. I believe I can. Game by
game, I will keep improving and I will show I am that type of player,”
said Barkley, who did not go to the World Cup in Russia having been there
under Roy Hodgson in Brazil four years ago.
He added: “These things happen in football and you have got to take them.
I was injured then I wasn't in the squad but you have just got to react in
the right, positive way. I feel like I have done that. It's important I
let my football do the talking.”
