The Red Sox were pretty far down the road on a deal to make Paul Toboni their GM
before the Nationals made him their president of baseball operations, according
to @Sean_McAdam.
The Sox don’t fear losing anyone else from the front office and thus have less
urgency to name a GM.

只是title比较大 但职责是一样的 但也有球队是GM实际执行 总裁最后决定 但一般是合作关系 不是每支球队都有这个职位 因为原本设计出来的目的就是留住人才不被挖角 所以有些球队虽然两个职位都有 但是同一人担任 史上最年轻的GM是2007年接条子的Jon Daniels 他当年27岁
