Filippo Sabatini begins his American dream of playing baseball professionally af
ter signing a contract with the Philadelphia Phillies in the Council Chamber of
the Municipality of Nettuno on MLB International Signing Day. The 17-year-old Sa

Born in Anzio (Rome) on March 2, 2007, Filippo Sabatini is one of the most promi
sing prospects on the Italian pitching mound.

A right-handed pitcher, Sabatini began his baseball adventure in the cities of
Anzio and Nettuno, cradles of the Italian movement. His training began in the yo
