WBC的政策真的有这么宽松吗?
至少，对某些国家而言，是的，
但并非全盘如此
* The player is a citizen of the nation the team represents
(additionally, if a player is qualified for citizenship or to hold a passport
under the laws of a nation represented by a team, but has not been granted
citizenship or been issued a passport, then the player may be made eligible
by the WBCI upon petition by the player or team).
* The player is a permanent legal resident of the nation or territory
the team represents
* The player was born in the nation or territory that the team
represents
* The player has one parent who is, or if deceased was, a citizen of
the nation the team represents
* The player has one parent who was born in the nation or territory
that the team represents
NOTE- In the event a player appropriately appears on more than one
provisional roster, he may select the team for which he wishes
to play
1. 球员有该国国籍 (或具有取得该国籍资格之证明文件经WBC官方认可)
2. 球员有该国永久居留权
3. 球员出生于该国
4. 球员父母之一有或曾有该国国籍
5. 球员父母之一出生于该国
注: 如果被两国以上列入预选名单，球员可自由挑选代表

可以发现意大利、以色列都是因为该国的国籍法订的很宽松，
搭配经典赛的规则才能产生美国二军阵容
意大利国籍法: 追溯到祖父母
以色列国籍法: 犹太人或娶犹太人、信犹太教
而英国的国籍法只追溯到父母，
在经典赛的规则下，他们征召了八位巴哈马选手，
父母出生时，巴哈马还是英国殖民地，
符合第4点因此可以代表英国参赛
如果下一届MLB官方让巴哈马独立报队参赛
将大大折损英国队的实力
