Jung Ho Kang investigated for sexual assault
Nunzio Ingrassiao of FOX Sports reports that Jung Ho Kang is being investigate
d by Chicago police regarding an allegation of sexual assault.
The alleged incident took place while the club was in Chicago playing the Cubs
last month. "According to police, the woman said met Kang at the Westin Hotel
around 10 p.m. local time and he served her an alcoholic drink. She then said
she blacked out 15 to 20 minutes later, then partially regained consciousness
as he sexually assaulted her." The Pirates are aware of the incident, take th
e allegations very seriously, and will provide full cooperation to the Commiss
ioner's office in their investigation of the matter. While he has not been cha
rged and his status with the Pirates has not changed, this doesn't sound promi
sing.
