You may be trying to cajole a good friend or a family member into enjoying a
better relationship. Perhaps there has been some friction between the two of
you, and you are trying to make it better. You may be coming up with reasons
or excuses for the conflict you've dealt with, but there is probably a better
way to reach this individual. Try to make your loved one laugh, or just spend
some time doing something fun without discussing any of your troubles. Some
carefree time together is really all you need to heal.
