Nottingham Trent University的前身是一个设计学院，
学校于1992年开始成为一所新大学，目前由九个学院所组成。
NTU毕业的学生有95%在毕业后六个月找到工作或继续深造，
就业比率在英国是属一属二的高。
学校在Fashion方面的课程相当出色，
设计和商学院课程也非常受学生欢迎，
课程的架构上一直都是以实务为主，
商学院很多课程更是提供第二年的实习机会，
