标榜DRM free的GOG在9月推出了《Hitman 》GOTY版，尽管商店页面和其他游戏一样注明了
“No activation or online connection required to play”，但因玩家发现Escalation
missions、Elusive Targets与user-created Contracts等部分需要连线(GOG宣称有注明，
玩家则说发售时没有这么说过)，致使部分玩家留下负评(整体评分一度为1.4/5)。
对此，GOG员工chandra在社群论坛表示：
Thank you for bringing this topic to our attention. We’re looking into it and w
ill be updating you in the coming weeks. In case you have purchased HITMAN and a
re not satisfied with the released version, you can use your right to refund the
game. At the same time, while we’re open for meritful discussion and feedback,
we will not tolerate review bombing and will be removing posts thatdo not foll
ow our review guidelines.
随后，对于社群质疑删除负评炸弹的言论：
Breja: It's not "review bombing" when the reviews give better information on wha
t is actually locked behind online DRM than the game's store page.

tive沟通中：
Thank you for your patience and for giving us the time to investigate the releas
e of HITMAN GOTY on GOG. As promised, we’re getting back to you with updates.
We're still in dialogue with IO Interactive about this release. Today we have re
moved HITMAN GOTY from GOG’s catalog – we shouldn’t have released it in its c
urrent form, as you’ve pointed out.
We’d like to apologise for the confusion and anger generated by this situation.
We’ve let you down and we’d like to thank you for bringing this topic to us
– while it was honest to the bone, it shows how passionate you are towards GOG.
We appreciate your feedback and will continue our efforts to improve our communi
cation with you.
