随着 AMD 7nm Ryzen 3000 处理器，以及 X570 芯片组的诞生，PCIe 4.0 成为热话。
而 PCIe 4.0 的 SSD 亦陆续发布、推出。
PCIe 4.0 支持高达 32GB/s 频宽，比目前的 PCIe 3.0 高出一倍。

目前 Phison 以及 Silicon Motion 等厂商
都已经推出了支持 PCIe 4.0 的 Controller。
目前已发布的产品中，使用最多的还是芯片 Phison PSE5016-E16，28nm 制程，
支持最新 96-Layer 3D TLC / QLC 内存颗粒，八通道，最大容量 8TB，
集成第四代 RAID ECC、LDPC 纠错引擎。
理论读写速度可达 5GB/s 和 4.4GB/s，不过还离 PCIe 4.0 的最高频宽有不少距离。

要想达到 PCIe 4.0 x4 频宽的完整效能，需要再等下一代的 PCIe 4.0 Controller。
近日前 Phison 宣布明年 Q1 将推出新一代 PCIe 4.0 Controller，
速度有望达到 6500 MB/s，
相比目前搭载 PCIe 3.0 Controller 的 SSD 而言有着双倍效能。
比目前大约 5000MB/s 的 PCIe 4.0 SSD 也提升了 >30% 效能，
逼近 PCIe 4.0 x4 频宽的极限了。
