Malik Allen has been hired by the Detroit Pistons as an assistant coach.

Stan Van Gundy coached Allen during their time together with the Miami Heat
and had remained in close contact ever since.
其实这件事的形成跟活塞现任教练Stan Van Gundy也有一定的关系，当Allen还在热火
当球员时，就开始与当时担任助教的大范有不错的情谊，并维持到现在。
"We just happened to be talking and I said, 'Listen, if there is anything I
can do or any capacity I can help, let's stay in touch,' " Allen said in a
phone interview. "So then we talked more and more in depth about how I can
fit with the organization."
Allen接受记者的电话访问时表示：“我跟他只是例行性的寒暄一番，接着我就问‘你们
球队那里有任何我可以我提供帮助的事情或职务吗？’，最后我们就讨论更多关于活塞
