根据 Apple 官方的说明文件中
说明有 6 种情况只能使用密码进行解锁（Passcode），不能使用 Face ID：
1. 装置刚开机或是重新开机（The device has just been turned on or restarted)
2. 装置没有被解锁超过 48 小时
(The device hasn’t been unlocked for more than 48 hours.）
3. 过去 156 小时没有使用密码解锁装置，以及过去 4 小时也尚未使用 Face ID 解锁过
（The passcode hasn’t been used to unlock the device in the last 156 hours
and Face ID has not unlocked the device in the last 4 hours.）
4. 装置被远端锁定
（The device has received a remote lock command.）
5. Face ID 辨识错误达到 5 次，这也是当时 iPhone X 发表会上出错的原因。
( After five unsuccessful attempts to match a face.）
6. 同时按下电源键与音量控制键 2 秒，启动 SOS 紧急服务时
（After initiating power off/Emergency SOS by pressing and holding either
volume button and the side button simultaneously for 2 seconds.）
