Grady Sizemore signs with the Rays

Released by the Phillies two weeks ago, veteran outfielder Grady Sizemore has
signed a minor-league deal with the Rays.

Sizemore has been healthy recently after injuries repeatedly derailed his
career with the Indians, but unfortunately he no longer looks capable of
providing much value as a regular.

Sizemore hasn’t topped a .700 OPS since 2011 and hasn’t topped a .725 OPS

It’s possible he’ll re-emerge as a bench player, but presumably the Rays
will make him put together a strong stretch at Triple-A before considering a
call-up for the 32-year-old former three-time All-Star.
