Greinke will hire agent if near free agency
Zack Greinke told reporters that he will hire an agent in the fall if he's
headed for free agency.
Greinke is still open to signing a long-term extension with the Brewers
before the start of the regular season and plans to have direct discussions
with the Milwaukee front office at some point this spring. But if no deal can
be reached, he will put further talks in the hands of someone else as he
enters the open market. ESPN's Jim Bowden reported earlier this week that the
right-hander is considering Brodie Van Wagenen of CAA, Casey Close formerly
of CAA, Adam Katz from Wasserman and Seth Levinson from ACES.
