The Reds have signed another arbitration-eligible player to a long-term
contract, according to an Internet report.
The team has agreed to terms with right-hander Johnny Cueto on a four-year
, $27 million contract extension, reports Enrique Rojas of ESPN's Desportes
blog.
Cueto, who turns 25 next month, was eligible for the first time this winter
for salary arbitration.
He went 12-7 last season with a 3.64 earned run average, 138 strikeouts and
56 walks.
The Reds have also signed first baseman Joey Votto and right fielder Jay
Bruce to contract extensions during the offseason.
