转眼已经十一月了！申请到了如火如荼的时刻～就算考试分数不理想，也只能硬著头皮上
了，不然就要等明年去了。
一般申请人多半一开始会找醒目标的Career Goal Essay来写，不过通常都会鬼打墙出不
来，因而多半会转往看似相对简单的Leadership题型。
常见的Leadership题型有：
Yale SOM:
Describe the biggest commitment you have ever made. (500 words maximum)
Kellogg’s purpose is to educate, equip and inspire leaders who create
lasting value. Provide a recent example where you have demonstrated
leadership and created value. What challenges did you face and what did you
learn? (450 words)
U Michigan Ross:
I made a difference when I: (100 words)
UNC:
We all belong to different communities representing various aspects of who we
are, including groups we belong to, where we come from, how we think, what we
believe, and how we see and experience the world. The process of discovery is
strengthened when people with diverse perspectives and life experiences come
together to share and learn from one another, negotiate differences, and
engage in diplomacy.
How do you envision furthering your growth as an inclusive leader as an MBA
student and as a business leader? (500 words)

一般建议是先写Leadership及变化题型，之后再转往Contributions 、Career Goals ，
甚至Introduce Yourself 等抽象题型。
原因是有单一事件为基础，比较有着力点；
另一方面，写Essay“笔触”是关键—像练打靶一样，越打才会越准。
因此，Leadership题型才是从专业角度的破冰点。
而Leadership包山包海，要分很多期来解说。
简单说，这世界上没有人知道Leadership是什么，包括笔者本身都持续在研究，并且永无
止境。
而万物为了求生，尤其人类有了文明，几乎所有人都在研究成功学，因而衍生出商学院这
种经济产物。
又讲成功学太俗套，而人是以独立的个体为单位，放眼古今中外举凡大规模的成功，原则
上都有某一领导人物，甚至出现某些特定人物能够很神奇地战无不胜，或领导革命，如：
成吉思汗、朱元璋、国父、华盛顿、林肯...等，以至近代蒋经国、比尔盖兹、贾伯斯、
乔丹、马斯克、张忠谋、贝佐斯...等。
专门在研究这些案例的单位之一就是商学院。
然而，在全球供不应求所造成的申请窄门下，学校只能透过Leadership Essay来筛选具有
领导力潜质的申请人，有几个目的：
一是雇主爱用，二是班级贡献，三是未来实际要去领导企业组织，四是领导力确实是一门
软专业，让人类演化数百万年、自文明以来五千年，仍旧无法参透。
根据众多个案拿下世界MBA名校奖学金的经验，及实地在世界级企业带领团队成功的个案
经验，每个人的领导力都不一样。
而就像笔者一直以来不断重复的“生涯三驱力”与“生涯金字塔”，这些领导力其实跟我
们的“性格方形西瓜”不但脱离不了关系，甚至还是我们的立身之本。
由于文章长度已经到达阅读极限，先简单罗列几个常见的领导力范畴，日后再详细解说：
勇气、鼓舞、创新、沟通、分享、因材施教、激励、以身作则、自我牺牲、挑战历史、道
德、谦逊、力排众议、肉身挡箭、举球、分权、分功、隐恶扬善、济弱扶倾、倾听、理
解...等，族繁不及备载。
