When a person who is typically very grounded and level-headed suddenly loses
their temper over a seemingly trivial matter, there is usually much more to
the story. The issue that caused the flare-up is probably just the tip of the
iceberg or the straw that broke the camel's back. If a normally reliable
friend has flipped out recently over something that seemed small and
insignificant, there is probably something else, much bigger, going on. It
would be fair to give that person the benefit of the doubt.
