Yahoo! reportedly planning to unveil new messaging app at press event this week
Yahoo is planning a mid-week press event to reveal a new messaging app, according to a report from Re/code. The event was originally speculated to be related to a new version of the Tumblr or Flickr apps, but Re/code’s Kara Swisher noted that it will instead be related to a new messaging endeavour. The idea that Yahoo! is launching a new messaging app is interesting, given that the company debuted its Livetext chat app only a few weeks ago.
