板上一堆人说台湾根本没什么白人
但大家知道以前华人其实是被称为白人的吗？
意大利商人马可波罗13世纪来中国的时候曾描述当地的人为白人
以下引述书中内容
“In “The Travels of Marco Polo,” the people of China are described as “white.” Records left by eighteenth century missionaries also report the skin color of Japanese and other East Asian people as clearly white.”

现在大家常听到的黄种人其实是18世纪晚期欧洲日耳曼人因为种族歧视发明的词
另外“白人”在欧美是个很有趣且复杂的词
1950之前其实犹太人、爱尔兰人都不被视为白人
白人优越主义的3K党当时甚至是主打着反黑人跟反犹太人的
至今在美国所谓的White privilege 指的是WASP(White Anglo-Saxon Protestants)
所以说白人这个词并不像台湾人以为字面上的意思
