英国王室白金汉宫今天宣布，下月满96岁的王夫菲利浦亲王将于秋季卸下王室公务。白金
汉宫声明稿全文中译如下：
“爱丁堡公爵殿下业已决定，从今年秋天起不再执行公务。女王全力支持这个决定。
菲利浦亲王将出席从现在到8月的既定行程，无论是个人或偕同女王。但在此之后，公爵
不再接受新的访问或活动邀请。然而他可能偶尔会选择参加特定的公众活动。
爱丁堡公爵将继续保持逾780个组织的赞助人、主席或会员头衔，但是不再出席活动扮演
积极的角色。
女王陛下则在王室成员支持下，将持续执行完整的官方活动行程。”
声明稿英文：
"His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh has decided that he will no longer
carry out public engagements from the autumn of this year. In taking this
decision, The Duke has the full support of The Queen.
Prince Philip will attend previously scheduled engagements between now and
August, both individually and accompanying The Queen. Thereafter, The Duke
will not be accepting new invitations for visits and engagements, although he
may still choose to attend certain public events from time to time.
The Duke of Edinburgh is Patron, President or a member of over 780
organisations, with which he will continue to be associated, although he will
no longer play an active role by attending engagements.
Her Majesty will continue to carry out a full programme of official
engagements with the support of members of the Royal Family."
