Thank God, I did deliver on promise to settle nuclear case: Rouhani
President Rouhani has said, “Thank God, I did deliver on my campaign promise
to settle the nuclear case. Even if now that we are going through the final
stages of the talks, things come to a halt, we have honored our duty.”
Speaking at an Iftar banquet attended by women, the president said that the
negotiating team has handled things to the best of its ability, adding, “
When I talk with the Iranian diplomats on the team, their voice is tinged
with exhaustion; they strive day and night in the fasting month of Ramadan.
The government and the negotiating team have made good on what they were
duty-bound to do and the nation as well as the Supreme Leader truly supported
us.”
The President concluded, “God willing, prayers of an entire nation will see
our negotiators complete this challenging and tough job.”
