台湾人别再唸错了！Ivan、Elise、Howard...令老外最抓狂的10英文名字
很多台湾人都有英文名字
Many Taiwanese people have English names.
我觉得这样子很不错因为对我很方便，因为中文名字那么难记
I think it’s easy for me to remember their English names, since Chinese
names are more difficult to remember.
但是！！有一些人不小心唸错了
However, some people mispronounce certain names.
1.Chad（恰的）
第一个是Chad（确的），有一些台湾人会唸成“恰的”
The first one is Chad. Some Taiwanese would mispronounce Chad.
但是“恰的”听起来有点像一种零食，然后我听到这个的时候就有点饿
Cha D sounds like some kind of snack so I get hungry if we keep talking about
Cha D.
2.Ivan（以von）
第二个是Ivan，有一些台湾人会唸成Evonne
The second one is Ivan. Some Taiwanese would say Evonnev instead of Ivan.
但是Evonne听起来有点像一个美国的设计师，所以你千万别说了
But Evonne sounds like an American designer’s name, so don’t.
3.Howard（蒿握）
第三个是Howard（蒿握的），有些台湾人会唸成Howar
The third one is Howard.
他们都没有把那个D唸出来
Some Taiwanese don’t pronounce D.
4.Brad（Bread）
第四个是Brad，有一些台湾人会唸成bread（面包）
The fourth one is Brad. Some Taiwanese pronounce bread instead of Brad.
但是这个听起来有点像你们在说“面包”
But they are not the same at all.
5.Ronald（Roll嫩）
第五个是Ronald（ㄖ挖弄得
虽然Ronald听起来有点老，可是我发现还蛮多台湾人喜欢取比较老的名字，像Josephine
，听起来85岁
6.Leonard（利欧娜的）
第六个是Leonard，我知道Leonard看起来有点像Leo Nard
The sixth one is Leonard. I know Leonard might seem like Leo Nard.
但是因为有时候我们的写法就是没有道理的
Because some of our ways to pronounce names don’t make sense.
7.Elise（A立死）
第七个是Elise（以利斯）
The seventh one is Elise.
有些台湾人会唸成Alice，但是Alice的写法是ALICE
Some Taiwanese are confused between Alice and Elise.
8.Powell（Po well）
第八个是Powell，这是...说到这个我不知道要说什么
The eighth one is Powell. I got nothing to say about this name.
9.Leon（李盎）
第九个是Leon（离盎）
The ninth one is Leon.
虽然刚才那个台湾女生的发音有点法国的感觉
The way that Taiwanese girl pronounced Leon sounded French.
但是如果你要听起来像美国一样，你要跟我说Leon（离盎）
But if you want to sound American. Then you say Leon.
10.Audrey（欧drey）
第十个是Audrey（凹drey），我前女友叫做Audrey
The last one is Audrey. My ex-girlfriend’s name is Audrey.
所以你们可以随便唸她的名字
So I don’t care how you pronounce this name.
