全球社群网站脸书于昨日下午约3时55分开始出现当机，约停摆30分钟。事后脸书致歉，
并称是因为更新软件设定不当，导致当机，称会吸取这次的经验，未来让脸书更可靠。
脸书发表声明表示，这次当机的问题，是因为一套更新软件的设定不当所致，在经过不到
30分钟的修复，脸书已完全恢复正常。脸书还称不会常常做这样的事，请用户毋须太担心
，但对昨日发生的事故，对用户们深感抱歉。
不过脸书当机，开始引发推特酸民讨论。据英国《镜报》报导，就有推特酸民形容推特当
机“是推特的胜利”，也有人为脸书“哀悼”。脸书号称平均每个月都有12.3亿使用者，
这次停摆事件，可能让脸书损失60万美元(约新台币1800万元)。
脸书创办人萨克伯曾夸海口“绝对不会挂掉”，但昨天还是挂掉了。《IBT》新闻网就指
出，脸书先前曾遭遇几分钟的停摆，但这次停摆30分钟，是至今最严重的当机。（施旖婕

“Late last night, we ran into an issue while updating the configuration of
one of our software systems. Not long after we made the change, some people
started to have trouble accessing Facebook. We quickly spotted and fixed the
problem, and in less than 30 minutes Facebook was back to 100% for everyone.
This doesn't happen often, but when it does we make sure we learn from the
experience so we can make Facebook that much more reliable. Nothing is more
important to us than making sure Facebook is there when people need it, and
we apologize to anyone who may have had trouble connecting last night.”
