我在书上看到这么一句话。
The most important fossil excavated in East Africa was that of an ancient
female, dubbed Lucy.
我不懂的地方在于为什么要有that of?
这整句的结构应该是长怎么样呢？

the fossil was that(lucy).介系词是拿来把后面一串修饰部位串起来用的

that 代替前面提过的名词 the fossil
