Edge browser is a powerful tool. I recently discovered the Read Aloud
feature, which allows me to not only read but also listen to English
articles! There are various male and female voices with different accents to
choose from, and you can even adjust the reading speed—it's really
convenient! Pick the voice that sounds the most pleasant to you. So I no
longer use Chrome now.
My favorite British voices are Libby and the little girl Maisie, although
Maisie's accent is quite strong. For American voices, I like Aria and the
little girl Ana. The voices of these two little girls are truly healing, and
every time I listen, I marvel at how delightful they are! They have a bit of
a mischievous charm.
I'm still debating whether to learn British English or American English
because British English is elegant and prestigious, with the Oxford
Dictionary being the most authoritative and useful. However, as an Asian
person, speaking British English might seem strange or pretentious. On the
other hand, America is the world's superpower, and American English is
definitely the global mainstream, spoken by everyone. Should I go with the
flow or stand out?
